Being a recommended supplier for The Lawn in Rochford, Essex, I regularly have the pleasure of supplying wedding cakes for their lovely couples. This family run venue has a wealth of experience in hosting weddings and their expertise is evident everytime I'm there to set up my wedding cakes.
Anne and Pete's wedding was my first for 2026 and had a lovely dusky blue colour palette. Their 3 tier cake was made from lemon & elderflower, chocolate orange and strawberries & champagne sponges, all layered with indulgent ganache, and each tier was just over 6" tall to give a beautifully elegant aesthetic. It was topped with a hand-made heart topper, adorned with icing ruffles, whichi was then given a pearlised finish which was delicately airbrushed with an accent of blue. Each tier was then given a gentle airbrushed ombre effect from soft blue to white and the top of each tier was accented with a pearl effect "bubbles" stencil. Anne and Pete opted for faux flowers to allow flexibility of colours in January and I used some of these to decorate their cake.
Anne and Pete also had a special request for 2 delicate blue icing butterflies to be added to the cake to represent 2 very dear people who could not be with them at the wedding. The cake was finished with a gorgeous personalised cake charm with their initials, made from laser cut acrylic.
Sending very best wishes to this lovely couple for a long and happy future together and thank you for asking me to be a part of your special day - it really means so much to me.
