Cupcakes are extremely popular and versatile and can be adapted for just about any occasion. They can look truely impressive in large quantities, cascading down a multi-tiered cake stand, or simply elegant in smaller quantities on a cake plate or decorated cake board.

They can be a fantastic way to make guests feel really special, by providing them with their own indivual (or even personalised) cupcake.

Cupcakes are also very practical, particularly at kids parties, as there's no messy and fiddly cake cutting (or remembering to take a knife with you if you are holding your party away from home). There's also no need to spend time wrapping slices of cake in napkins, which often only end up being left uneaten at the bottom of the party bag, going dry.
